China–Ukraine Trade Policy Briefing: Customs Facilitation and Settlement Pilots
Both countries are advancing customs facilitation and local-currency settlement pilots. Exporters should prepare documents and compliance materials in advance.

China and Ukraine trade authorities recently held working talks on customs facilitation and cross-border settlement, agreeing to pilot an advance-declaration and clearance-on-arrival model at selected ports and to broaden the scope of local-currency settlement.
For exporters, completing commodity classification, certificates of origin and inspection documents in advance can markedly cut port dwell time. We advise merchants to confirm trade terms and settlement currency with buyers at the quotation stage, and to specify document delivery milestones in the contract.
This platform will keep tracking policy implementation and publish updates and operating guidance under the “Policy” section.
